    valium diazepam questions?
    1. How long will I wait for the pill to wear off before I can intake alcoholic drinks?
    2. If I drink alcoholic drinks while on the pill, what are the things that can happen?
    3. What is the maximum number of tablets I can take in a day? (weight: 90-100pounds. height: 4’11. age: 16. Female)
    4. What are the signs and symptoms that I’m overdosed?

Please just answer the questions and no telling that I’m young or just go see the doctor. Just answers to the questions. thanks!!
    5. Oh, and are there permanent and serious effects once you recover from an overdose?

I am not a doctor, and that’s really who should answer this.
However, i AM a recovering alcoholic and addict, and i can advise you that the combination of booze and diazepam is dangerous and potentially lethal. I was addicted to heroin for 20 years, and the combination of pills and alcohol was worse and ultimately more harmful. Valium is great for temporary relief from anxiety and panic attacks, but there are side effects almost immediately, like severe depression. Driving under that combination is super dangerous. You will build a tolerance very quickly, and given your small body size, you may not even know its happening!
Once addicted (and that happens quickly) detoxing from Valium must be done slowly and under doctor’s care, and you can have seizures (potentially lethal) in that process.
If you’re doing Valium recreationally, please consider something else. If you’re under a doctor’s care, please take his advice.

    Pregnant. Overdosed. Baby’s health.?
I have just found out I am 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I am extremely excited and everything has been a surprise. Although the pregnancy is unplanned, I want to keep the baby. I still have many weeks to decide but for the time being, I have taken all the vitamins just in case. The problem is, I have suffered from severe depression and 2 weeks into my pregnancy (I didn’t know I was pregnant), I had tried ending my life by overdosing on valium, panadol, aspirin and other pain killers. Now that I am pregnant, I am over the moon as I now have control of something for once in my life. I had an abortion 4 months ago due to my partner not being ready and I didn’t take it very well afterwards. Which is why lead to reasons of my overdose. My question is, will the overdose have hurt the baby as it was soon after conception that the overdose occurred?
I have been to the doctor today, and he said there is no guarantee but the baby should be fine. The newborn could grow up to seem ok but as it gets older might show symptoms of certain birth defects. This made me worried.
Has anyone had the hospital test/scan their pregnancy and say it is healthy and fine then later after birth something is wrong? I do want to keep the baby :) .. but if it is going to have difficulties, I want to save it from misery. I appreciate your input.

Actually week 1 is when you are on your period and a new egg begins to grow in your ovary. Usually around the end of week 2, give or take some days, your egg is fertilized, at which point it makes it makes it travels down to the uterus. Sometime in week 3 usually the egg is implanted and shortly after around week 4 most women find out about their pregnancy. I am not a doctor but if this overdose occured when you would have been “2 weeks” pregnant I think your baby will be okay because the egg was already grown but not implanted therefore it wasn’t really using you to survive or function. I wish you the best of luck!

Diazepam (Valium) is a benzodiazepine drug used in treatment of anxiety and seizures. Benzodiazepines have a very low level of toxicity in overdose, so if this is all that is in your system, you are most likely ok. Avoid alcohol and caffeine as these substances will increase your likelihood of having an adverse reaction.

Diazepam is a CNS depressant. This means that it slows everything down. You’ll likely feel sleepy and may experience a drop in pulse, respirations, or blood pressure. Lay down for a moment, then sit up, then stand. Make sure you are on a soft surface and close to something to hold onto as this may cause you to fall. If you get dizzy and begin to see black in your vision upon standing, you are experiencing orthostatic hypotension, meaning you are having a reaction to the valium. Move slowly to keep from having issues with this. Don’t stand quickly after laying down. Now take your pulse. You can find your pulse easily in your wrist or neck. Count your pulse for 60 seconds. Your heart rate should be at least 60. If it is lower, your pulse is too low. Now look at your breathing patterns. Don’t change your breathing as you count your breaths, though this may be tempting to do. You should be breathing at least 12 times in a minute. If all of these vital signs are ok, you’ll be fine. Just drink a lot of water and rest until the medication gets out of your system. If things worsen, you need to seek medical attention. Your parents might be upset with you, but it would be much worse for them to know that you over dosed and decided to die rather than seek medical attention.
