Common ways of relieving pain
Author: John Scott
All of us have certainly experienced moments when the only thing that we could think of is to get some pain relief. Regardless of the cause behind pain, we simply want it to go away as fast as possible. And despite the understanding that pain is an essential signal of our bodies that made it possible for us to survive as a specie, the numerous options the medicine has for pain relief today makes us reach out for the most effective way to block pain once and for all. It is essential to know what kind of pain relief options are available out there and what cases they are used for. Because it can matter a lot when it starts to hurt.
Topical options
Topical pain relief medications usually come in the form of crèmes, gels, balms and other substances that are easily applied to the surface of the skin. Topical painkillers are usually applied in cases of acute pain caused by injuries or physical conditions associated with chronic pain. Such substances contain active elements that are easily absorbed through the skin and don't require internal intervention (like in the case of pills or injections). Crèmes, balms, gels and lotions are usually effective in cases of mild pain when it doesn't persist for long periods of time and is usually associated with internal impact on a particular area of the body.
Oral medications
Oral painkillers are probably the most common and well known forms of pain relief available on the market today. People often associate the whole concept of pain relief namely with painkiller oral medications. Fact is that this form of pain relief medications includes different types of drugs that have different methods of action and applications. For example, people often take aspirin as a painkiller for headaches, but in reality it is simply an anti-inflammation drug that helps reduce negative symptoms of associated conditions.
The most common and effective painkiller medications are opiates and opioids. Opiates such as morphine are narcotic drugs that have a very strong painkiller effect and relief even the most severe forms of pain, but have negative side effects that affect the perception of reality. Opioids like Tramadol are synthetic opiate derivatives that are free from such side effects. Drugs like Tramadol work by simply blocking the nerve signals transmitted to the brain and can help in relieving both acute and chronic pain.
Other types of drugs are also applied for relieving certain types of pain. As mentioned, some anti-inflammation drugs can help in relieving mild to moderate types of pain such as headache. Anti-seizure and muscle relaxant drugs are used in cases of pain caused by motor dysfunctions or muscular injuries.
Injections
Injections are usually applied for administering painkiller medications directly into the bloodstream or the affected area in order to achieve faster and more effective pain relief in cases of acute pain. Injections are also used for relieving pain during surgeries.

ok so i think im being screwed over by cps (child protective services) HELP!!!?
this is gonna be long but please i need major help! im about to loose my daughter!!
ok so i know im not completely Innocent no one ever is but i honestly feel like im being screwed over.
my daughter is 23 mo. old and i’ve had 2 open cps cases. i live in the dallas, tx area but my kid lives in the houston, tx area. which is where her father lives. lets start before i had her. i used to be a drug addict, a bad one at that, but when i saw pregnant come up on that test i never touched a drug again (which i have proved to cps time and time again threw drug screens and assessments.) i had a very healthy baby 9.3 lbs 19 1/2 in. long and completely gorgeous. well i have had issues with the dad and trying to help him “sober” up during the 9 mo. course of time…come delivery day he showed up on Valium. then 2 days later drunk. nurses called cps. then about 2 mo. down the road i loose my house in hurricane ike and they decide i need to give her to my mom till im stable again which meant i had to get and maintain a home and a job for 6 mo. well i did and i won her back. well my father calls on me about 4 mo. after i finally got them out of my hair because i would let his drunk butt drive my car. the phone call was “they abuse prescription drugs, the beat her on a regular basis they swing her around by one arm, the hit her in the face, they kick her around like a soccer ball ETC. ect. ect.” they caseworker comes by says she saw nothing of the sort and she’ll check back in about a week or so and just probably drop the case. well the next day my dad kicks us out w/ nothing but the clothes on our backs p.s. never not till this day have i received anything back from him…so now we call them for their help we actually have to rely on their good graces! well some woman in the shelter doesn’t like all the attention and things people keep doing for us so she sought vengeance. she called and made a new report about us stating almost the same thing just more in detail which one thing was true for sure and that was the day my ex flipped me and the couch over! …
well now they have my daughter in foster care. the foster parents want to adopt her and i want her back im doing all my services including Driving 7 hrs. to come down here to see her for one hour 3 times a month. im mentally exhausted! and then i find out if the judge takes her away any other kid after my daughter will be taken away point blank no court no nothing strait adoption!!!
please help me!!!
I live in a home that i have fully paid for, i have 2 cars fully paid for. i only have to pay for water and electricty. i am a sales consaultant for a realty company and my husband is a E5 in the army. we make together about 90,000 usd per year. i can take care of my child and there were never any bruises on my child. i do have a lawyer but hes extremly hard to get ahold of. i also pay 150usd per month in child support for her. and my ex (my daughters father) is a complete jerk and i left him almost a year ago. my life used to be lived paycheck to paycheck until i went to school met my husband and got a real job. i am truly sincere about my child and i believe i can give her the best life she can recieve. i just need to prove that the aligations are only on my ex and not me. and that people and their situations do change!!
well you need a lawyer, that much is true.
However, I would be interested in CPS side as well. You don’t mention if you work, or what you do. Do you have a home now? Have you done any job training if you are under educated or under trained? Were there in fact injuries on the baby after the shelter report. Who were these people doing things for you, and what things? How did the lady in the shelter know to report “almost the exact same thing”?
Get a lawyer if you are sincere. If you are not, you owe it to your daughter to have a stable loving home. Let her be adopted.
