Quit Smoking "The Electronic Cigarette" "E - Cig" ENI (Electronic Nicotine Inhalator)..Does it Work?

Author: D.R Cooper

The Electronic Cigarette is a groundbreaking new quit smoking product that actually has the same effect and a perfect simulation to a real cigarette.

Known as the ENI (Electronic Nicotine Inhalator) with the clever use of nicotine vapor instead of smoke the E-Cig is 14,000 times less harmful and about 70% cheaper than actual smoking, the product comes in a variety of different models to appeal to all types of smoker such as Cigars, E-Cigs and Pipes.

I heard about this product from a friend and me being a smoker, I decided to give it a go! I read many testimonials about this product before i went ahead to buy one, so far so good, not one bad word to be heard about it.

So I went to the official site to reclaim the many years i have lost by smoking for 3 years heavily. I picked the Green Smoke Basic Starter Kit for 0 (inc Shipping) and 10 Pre-Filled Tobacco High Strength (18mg) cartridges and decided to be adventurous and buy a 10ml bottle of Watermelon E-Liquid used to refill my cartridges.

The store have an extensive selection of flavours including BubbleGum, RedBull, Mint Choc Chip, Apple and Strawberry. So it tastes better than smoking as well as being LESS harmful, best of both worlds.

Each cartridge costs about 60 cents pre filled or 20 cents if you use liquid. With each cartridge yielding over 5 cigarettes worth of nicotine, meaning each cigarette costs 7 cents.

I thought it would be a good investment for both my wallet and my Health, best part of all is it only took 2 days to reach me as their fast delivery standards have yet to fail me.

I opened the product and found a set of easy to follow intructions on use of the E-Cig including the car charger, desk charger, USB charger...i could go on but now its for the moment of truth...Does it work?

My answer is a resounding yes, as soon as the product arrived I quit smoking cold turkey and have not had the craving for a cigarette for 8 months now! Whats even better is I use my ENI to smoke in public places where real cigarettes are banned indoors, these are not classed as a tobacco product therefore it can legally be used indoors anywhere, even on planes!

The atomiser wick converts the e-liquid inside the cartridge into vapor as I inhaled the E-Cig, It had the same sensation in my mouth as a cigarette. The electronic cigarette delivered a convincing hit on the back of the throat as you get with a normal cigarette and also delivered a taste of watermelon in my mouth.

It was exactly what i thought it would be! The flavourings for the e-liquid deliver a true taste, unlike a lot of things which claim to be a good flavour but end up tasting terrible...not the case for the ENI.

As I exhaled, my mouth bellowed vapor that looks like smoke, but doesnt smell like it, truly impressive for something i picked up for 0. Theres even a green or red LED at the end that tells me when i'm inhaling, when it needs charging and when it needs refilling.

Overall I am truly impressed with the product and high level of customer service that trumps all the existing nicotine replacement therapy products I have personally tried, the E-Cig showed me the light. I never leave home without it! For more information visit http://greensmoke.com/17189.html or http://www.theelectroniccigarette.co.uk/?ps1=F7C77 if your trying to quit from the UK.

Thanks for reading, and good luck!

- Yours Faithfully, D.R Cooper

Electronic cigarettes are the most recent in health gadgets that come with incredible benefits socially and health wise. For anyone who is a long term smoker and you are not quite willing to kick the habit, go out now and buy electronic cigarettes. The best electronic cigarettes were designed when it was learned that more than 400 000 men and women were killed in the USA alone every year.

Unlike standard tobacco cigarettes, you may smoke electronic cigarettes in public places for instance bars or restaurants. The electronic cigarette is visually very much like an ordinary tobacco cigarette, but contains none of the unwanted ingredients and no smoke. Even those that are extremely attached to their common cigarettes usually do not enjoy the stinky and unhealthy aspects of traditional smokes.

Although the electronic cigarette seems to be just like a standard cigarette, it can be somewhat longer and a little bit heavier. They are available for purchase at specialty stores and tobacconists. You can even purchase electronic cigarettes online. Electronic cigarette starter packages tend to be incredibly cost effective. If employed regularly, you could save up to 75 percent.

Many companies offer you high quality electronic cigarettes in different colors ranging from black to pink and many other colors including midnight black, metallic silver, crimson red, cobalt blue and bubblegum pink. E cigarettes may also be useful for individuals who need to stop smoking. A recent study confirmed that 36 percent of individuals stop smoking after 8 weeks by using the e-cigarette and 10% kicked the habit in just 2 weeks. Many medical professionals today feel that the electronic cigarette is a viable tool in quitting smoking or a healthier alternative to cigarette smoking.

Ills of Cigarette Smoking

Author: Dr.Badruddin Khan

The commonly used term cigarette refers to a tobacco cigarette but can apply to similar devices containing other herbs. The cigarette is ignited at one end and allowed to smoulder for the purpose of inhalation of its smoke from the other end, which is inserted in the mouth. There are many different tobacco cultivars which are made into a wide variety of mixtures and brands. Tobacco is often sold flavored, often with various fruit aromas, something which is especially popular for use with water pipes.

A considerable percentage of the adult population in many countries has tried smoking with smaller minorities doing it on a regular basis. Since cannabis is illegal or only tolerated in most jurisdictions, there is no industrial mass-production of cigarettes, meaning that the most common form of smoking is with hand-rolled cigarettes or with pipes. Rates of cigarette smoking vary widely. While rates of smoking have leveled off or declined in the developed world, they continue to rise in the undeveloped world.

The history of smoking can be dated to as early as 5000 BC, and has been recorded in many different cultures across the world. Early smoking evolved in association with religious ceremonies; as offerings to deities, in cleansing rituals. After the European exploration and conquest of the Americas, the practice of smoking tobacco quickly spread to the rest of the world. In Europe, it introduced a new type of social activity and a form of drug intake which previously had been unknown. The cultural perception surrounding smoking has varied over time and from one place to another; holy and sinful, sophisticated and vulgar and deadly health hazard. Only recently, and primarily in industrialized Western countries, has smoking come to be viewed in a decidedly negative light.

Cigarette smoke contains cancer-causing substances called carcinogens. Cigarette smoking is the major cause of lung cancer and emphysema (a serious disease of the lungs). People who smoke are also at increased risk for developing other cancers, heart disease, and chronic lung ailments. Cigarette smoke is called mainstream smoke when it is inhaled directly from a cigarette. Side stream smoke is smoke that is emitted from a burning cigarette and exhaled from a smoker's lungs. Side stream smoke is also called environmental tobacco smoke or secondhand smoke. Passive smoking, or the inhaling of secondhand smoke by nonsmokers, is believed to be responsible for about 3,000 lung cancer deaths per year. Nonsmokers exposed to secondhand smoke also have a greater chance of suffering from respiratory disorders.

Over 4,000 different chemicals have been found to be present in cigarette smoke. Many of these are carcinogenic, or capable of causing changes in the genetic material of cells that can lead to cancer. Cigarette smoke contains nicotine, addictive chemical and carcinogenic tars. In addition, smoking produces carbon monoxide, which has the effect of decreasing the amount of oxygen in the blood. When cigarette smoke is inhaled, the chemicals contained in it are quickly absorbed by the lungs and released into the bloodstream. From the blood, these chemicals pass into the brain, heart, kidneys, liver, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, muscle, and fat tissue. In pregnant women, cigarette smoke crosses the placenta and may affect development of the fetus.

There is a strong relationship between the lengths of time a person smokes; the number of cigarettes a person smokes each day, and the development of smoking-related diseases. Simply put, the more one smokes, the more one is likely to suffer ill effects. Cigarette smoke weakens blood vessel walls and increases the level of cholesterol in the blood, which can lead to atherosclerosis (a disease in which fatty material is deposited in the arterial walls). It can cause the coronary arteries to narrow, increasing the risk of heart attack due to impaired blood flow to the heart. Smoking also increases the risk of stroke (a blood clot or rupture in an artery of the brain).

In addition to lung cancer, smoking can cause cancers of the mouth, throat, voice box, esophagus, stomach, cervix, and bladder. Drinking alcohol while smoking causes 75 percent of all mouth and throat cancers. People who have a tendency to develop cancer because of hereditary factors may develop the disease more quickly if they smoke. Smoking is the leading cause of lung disease in the United States and results in deaths from pneumonia, influenza, bronchitis, emphysema, and chronic airway obstruction. Smoking increases mucus production in the lungs and destroys cilia, the tiny hair like structures that normally sweep debris out of the lungs.

The nicotine in cigarette smoke causes the release of a chemical in the brain called dopamine. When the level of dopamine in the brain is increased, a person experiences feelings of extreme pleasure and contentment. In order to sustain these feelings, the level of nicotine in the body must remain constant; a smoker becomes dependent on the good feelings caused by the release of dopamine and thus becomes addicted to nicotine.  The well-proven health hazards of smoking have caused many countries to institute high taxes on tobacco products and anti-smoking campaigns are launched every year in an attempt to curb smoking. Several countries, states and cities have also imposed smoking bans in most public buildings.

Smoking and Hair Loss – Can Smoking Cause you to Lose Your Hair?

Author: Jennifer Koenig

It is well known that smoking and tobacco products cause adverse health effects. Although an exact relationship between cigarette smoking and hair loss is yet to be found the evidence points to a disruption in circulation as a potential cause. The nicotine found in tobacco products is known to constrict blood vessels. The carbon monoxide in smoke decreases the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood. This combination decreases the body’s ability to get nutrients to your cells. To see this effect of poor circulation squeeze your nail bed until it turns white and see how quickly it returns to its natural pink color (it should be under 2 seconds). Compare the time difference after smoking a cigarette. You will see that the blushing time changes.

For the hair follicle to function at optimal levels and produce hair growth at the normal rate the cells must receive adequate amounts of oxygen, nutrients, and minerals.  Since cigarette smoking has been shown to negatively affect the blood circulation system of your body, and specifically to reduce the blood flow through the scalp, it stands to reason that your hair follicles, just like the rest of the cells in your body, are being deprived the building blocks they need to work properly.

Smoking has also been shown to increases the levels of the hormones responsible for hair loss in men.  A study led by the Harvard School of Public Health investigated 1241 men of medium age and compared hormone levels between smokers and non-smokers.  The findings showed that dihydrotestosterone (DHT) levels were 13% higher in smokers than in non smokers and testosterone was 9% higher.

DHT is formed by the action of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase on testosterone, the hormone that causes sex characteristics in men. DHT causes androgenetic alopecia, also referred to as “male pattern” or “common” baldness, by shortening the growth, or anagen, phase of the hair cycle on genetically susceptible scalp hair follicles.  This causes miniaturization (decreased size) of the follicles, and produces progressively shorter, finer hairs. Eventually these hairs totally disappear.  This sensitivity to DHT is present mainly in hair follicles that reside in the front, top, and crown of the scalp (rather than the back and sides) producing a characteristic and easily identifiable pattern described by Norwood.

Another theory as to why smoking may increase the occurrence of hair loss is based on general health concerns.  Smoking causes many illnesses and diseases, which can impair the functioning of other body systems.  When the body is not healthy the organs do not function properly which can allow poisons, infections, bacteria, and other disease-causing substances to circulate throughout the body.  These unwanted substances could further inhibit the hair follicle's ability to maintain a normal hair growth pattern.

Aging, Gray Hair, and Hair Loss

Smoking has also been shown to accelerate the aging process and hair loss is often a symptom of aging. Smokers already know that they face an increased risk of developing wrinkles, facial discolorations, and grey hair. Recent medical findings suggest that premature hair loss could also be added to the list of accelerated aging symptoms seen primarily in smokers. A researcher at the Leigh Infirmary in Lancashire, England, found a significant increase in hair loss and graying among smokers, reporting that they are twice as likely to lose their hair or be gray at a certain age.  British Medical Journal, December 21, 1996.

Bear in mind that smoking will not cause the loss of hair in those who are not genetically predisposed to it.  Quitting smoking will also not make your hair stay on your head if baldness runs in your family.  But smoking can worsen baldness in men when already present, so if you quit smoking this may prevent additional hair loss.

How to Prevent Smoking-induced Hair Loss

The most obvious and effective way to avoid hair loss caused by cigarette smoking is to stop smoking. If you’re having trouble quitting you should consult with your doctor to discuss ways to help you kick the habit. Many oral medications, patches, gum, and creams are available to help smokers beat their nicotine addiction and stay smoke free.

Once you have stopped smoking, or even while you are in the processes of quitting, you can help fight the effects of smoking on hair loss by making positive changes in your life.  This includes exercising and getting proper nutrition.  Cardiovascular exercise, exercise that increases the heart rate, helps boost poor circulation. Strive to get at least 30 minutes of aerobic exercise at least five times a week in order to strengthen your heart and increase blood circulation.  You also need to add a multi vitamin and mineral supplement to your diet.  Liquid supplements are they best as they absorb into your system faster and more completely than pills, thereby getting the necessary nutrients to your cells quickly.

Hair is an excellent indicator of our overall well-being.  Healthy habits and daily exercise will go a long way towards increasing the number and quality of hairs on your head.  For more information about smoking, hair loss, and related studies visit http://www.allnaturalhairrestoration.com/smoking-and-hair-loss-how-smoking-causes-baldness.html

Smoking Banned in Public Places

Author: Torrel Butler

Smoking is restricted or banned in almost all public places and cigarette companies are no longer allowed to advertise on TV, radio, and in many magazines. Smoking cessation has major and immediate health benefits for men and women of all ages. Quitting smoking decreases the risk of lung and other cancers, heart attack, stroke, and chronic lung disease. Smoking cigarettes is to be stopped while using these devices.

Smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, physical inactivity, obesity, and diabetes are all risk factors for heart disease, but cigarette smoking is the biggest risk factor for sudden death from a heart attack. Smokers who have a heart attack are more likely to die within an hour of the heart attack than non-smokers. Smoking generally affects a smoker's health, harming nearly every organ of the body, and causing many diseases. According to the CDC in 2000, about 8.6 million people had at least one chronic disease because they smoked or had smoked. Smoking is depicted in engravings and on various types of pottery as early as the 9th century, but it is not known whether it was limited to just the upper class and priests.

Smoking-Hookah.com one-stop online hookah shisha shop guarantee top quality hookahs and shisha at the most competitive prices on the Internet. Each one of our hookah products are crafted to the highest standards and completely authentic. Smoking harms not just the smoker, but also family members, coworkers, and others who breathe the smoker's cigarette smoke, called secondhand smoke or passive smoke. Among infants up to 18 months of age, secondhand smoke is associated with as many as 300,000 cases of bronchitis and pneumonia each year. Smoking becomes a part of who and what you are. It amazes me the number of people who smoke cigarettes who would never smoke a "marijuana"cigarette.

Smoking can also affect more than just your lungs. Smoking can increase your risk for heart attack, stroke, osteoporosis (thinning or weakening of your bones), and cancers other than lung cancer. Smoking is a major risk factor for peripheral vascular disease. This disease is a narrowing of blood vessels that carry blood to the leg and arm muscles. Smoking can dry your skin out and cause wrinkles. Some research even relates smoking to premature gray hair and hair loss.

Smoking causes changes in your body and in the way you act. The changes in your body are caused by an addiction to nicotine. Smoking can have serious effects on your life. The longer you smoke, the more damage you do to your body and your health. Smoking is becoming an effective means for a nonsmoking parent to gain leverage in a divorce struggle. Courts have now recognized that parental smoking may be a deciding factor in custody disputes, and have issued orders prohibiting parental smoking in the presence of children.

Smoking is a lifestyle. And the lifestyle of a smoker is very different than that of a non-smoker. Smoking is one of the worst things kids or adults can do to their bodies. Yet every single day about 4,000 kids between the ages 12 and 17 start smoking. Smoking less than a pack a day also was shown to increase behavior problems, but the rates were not as high as for heavier smokers, the researchers found. The study was conducted by the Labor Department in which parents of 2,256 youngsters ages 4 to 11 were interviewed.

Smoking Cigarettes - 5 Things You Should Know About Cigarette Smoke

Author: Marc Riley

Cigarette smokers are constantly faced with criticism and health warnings. Here are 5 things that are true about cigarette smoking.

1. Cigarettes Cause Cancer
Smoking cigarettes has been proven to cause cancer. When tobacco is burned, thousands of chemicals are generated. It is these chemicals that are responsible for cancers and cardiovascular diseases. Lung cancer, for example, is the most prevalent type of cancer and is primarily a result of cigarette smoking.

2. Cigarettes Are Expensive
Traditional cigarettes contain filters, papers, and tobacco leaves. With all the advertising, lobbying, and branding thrown into the mix, the cost of putting cigarettes on the market has never been higher before. On top of that, consumers are burdened by heavy tobacco taxes. Sin tax, as some may call it, is considered as a pretty unfair tax in this free country.

3. Second Hand Smoke Affects Children and Newborns
Cigarette smoke Contains 4,000+ chemicals and small particulates, and a good amount of them still get out of your lungs and get inhaled by nearby people. Second hand smoke not only causes cancer, but stunts growth in children and produce birth defects in newborns. In fact, inhaling second hand smoke is deadlier than smoking the actual cigarette. The reason is that cigarette smoke contains free radicals, which induce cellular damage and cause cancer. Because second hand smoke is lower in temperature, the free radicals adhere to the lung tissue better and inflict greater damage to the victims.

4. Cigarettes Stain Teeth
Among the substances in cigarette smoke is the tar and other particulates. These things stick to your teeth and gradually discolor them.

5. Cigarettes Accelerate the Aging Process
Aging is a process of gradual cellular deterioration. Because the chemicals in cigarette also inflict cellular damage, smoking compounds the aging effects. Cigarettes essentially accelerate this natural process and make you a lot older than you actually are.

Marlboro Cigarettes for Sale – Cheap and Easy

Author: Albert Nale

Cheap Marlboro cigarettes are easily available over the internet ever since they became hardly affordable. Well, the question is not the one of principles when selling or buying cheap cigarettes. There always have been smokers for ages that budged inch by inch to accommodate the evolving prices till recently and there have been a steady increase in the number of smokers for all brands of cigarettes with Marlboro leading the pack which was followed by Virginia Slims, Camel, Winston, Davidoff, LM and Dunhill amongst many.

On the other hand, there are some social forces which are after smoking and they always have had their places under the Sun. Governments and administrations have always been actively considerable of public health; quite the thing to do for the declared custodian of general public at large- smokers or non smokers. The school of thought behind all these till recently has been that containment of smoking was enough which is evident in all the curtailing steps that are taken till date.

However, look at the other side where the sales figure of leading cigarette brands such as Marlboro, Virginia Slims, Camel, Winston, Davidoff, LM, 555 and Dunhill, to name a few, are witnessing steady growth despite all measures like clipping off of advertisements, tax hikes etc. Do you think this growth would have been possible at the present rate had there been scientific restrictions? Well, this scientific route isn’t some godsend thing that ensures magical achievements for the governments; nevertheless, they would have acted positively and demonstrated that the intentions of the governments are sound and rock solid. Failure to take a shot at this is now clearly evident from the growing demand for cheap discount cigarettes which are being sold over the internet from East European countries.

Broadly there are two faces to discouraging smoking at community levels.

1. Tackling the demand side

2. Tackling the revenue side

The steady, if not growing, demand for cheap cigarettes or discount cigarettes is apparently the result of failure of administrations to tackle the above two or at least one of them totally effectively. What we are witnessing today is the result of governments’ apathy or disinterest for rooting out the menace.

There will always be smokers that enjoy a good smoke with their hot beverages held in their other hands. These are not the part of first groups to jump into buying cheap cigarettes from a local store in bulk because of a price hike. It will always be the young smokers including smokers till their thirties and fresh entrants that go for discount cigarettes for obvious reasons such as high smoking tendencies and the question of affordability. These are the same people that get ready to experiment by switching brands. These are the same people that are attracted and driven towards cheap cigarettes for sale. They have innocence and urge to believe that, for example, cheap Marlboro cigarettes can actually be genuine regardless of their origin. There are convinced of the reach and power of internet commerce and the price difference of buying discount cigarettes online.

The tasks for governments are cut out clearly. You know where the demand-supply originates from; if public health is the prime concern go ahead and demonstrate to the world that governments’ coffers have healthy means to fill up than banning, hiking taxes and in the process letting cheap Marlboro cigarettes online easily.

The Effects of Cigarette Filters on Smoking Cheap Cigarettes

Author: Albert Nale

The cigarette filter is an important part of the cigarette which absorbs all the moisture, nicotine, tar and other admixtures found in all types of cigarettes. This is because the filter is basically a porous material that is found at the tip of the cigarette that filters the air from the cigarette that passes through the filter before reaching your lungs. The cigarette holder also has a special holder to place a cigar or cigarette.

Cheap discount cigarettes like cheap menthol cigarettes and cheap Winston cigarettes too have a cigarette filter fitted in them. Presently, the most popular filter in the tobacco industry is the cellulose acetate filter which has 5-10% of triacetate glycerol as its connecting link.

With the acetated filters present in most cheap cigarettes, the amount of suspended smoke particles that enter the human organism tends to get reduced. The added benefit of these filters is that it removes some carcinogens, especially nitrosamines with its functioning. The common filters in other cheap cigarettes tend to remove only a part of the suspended particles found in cigarette smoke.

It is possible to increase the efficiency of cigarette smoke filtration of cigarettes by reducing the fiber diameter of the cigarette and also by either increasing the length of the filter or by adding some substances to the fiber of the cigarette filter. Most filters of cheap discount cigarettes have activated carbon as an addition in them.

This is because it helps in selectively removing components from the cigarette smoke. Of late, some researchers have found out that green tea helps in reducing the harmful effects of nicotine in cigarettes. The cultivated green tea leaves that were added to the cigarette filter which helped reduced nicotine intake substantially.

In addition to filtering the cigarette smoke, the cigarette filter also serves its purpose in cooling the temperature of the smoke you inhale. This is because the smallest through holes of cigarettes provides additional air to the smoke you inhale, thus cooling the inhaled air and reducing the amount of harmful substances from smoking.

So when you intend to buy cheap cigarettes online, make it a point to choose some of the discount cigarettes that have filters in them. This helps you enjoy the pleasure of smoking your discount cigarettes. Though most of the cigarettes for sale have filters in them, there are a few brands of cigarettes that come without any filter.

It is usually easy to tell if a discount cigarette has a filter in it as the filter is usually of a different color than the actual cigarette and of course, because of the material used in the filter and the cigarette. Most cheap cigarettes have a yellow colored filter; though there are some cheap discount cigarettes like cheap Marlboro cigarettes that have a white filter.

So the next time you consider buying cheap cigarettes choose the discount cigarettes having a filter in them as they are a sort of a protection against the harmful products of cigarettes.

Smoking Restrictions And Tobacco Legislation In Africa

Author: cristina

President Yoweri Museveni affirmed that in Uganda there is one Tobacco Company that provides almost one-sixteenth of Uganda's total tax revenue and offers different jobs to more than half million people in a country that needs so much any kinds of  jobs. The company is helping the children that are infected with AIDS and the victims that have suffered from the war.

In Uganda there is an antismoking activist and a well known lawyer, Phillip Karugaba. He has another opinion about the tobacco company. He affirms that if there were 1,000 B.A.T.'s there would be no more population in Africa.  He is a person that tries to help Africa follow the same rules like the entire world regarding smoking. B.A.T. is such a powerful and big company that is not considered to be a monster, but this is only for a while, he said.

British American Tobacco is located in London but of course it has subsidiaries in Africa and in countries from all over the world. Smoking in Africa is still allowed on a lot of domestic airlines. In restaurants and bars where people are smoking too. There are a few hospitals that allow smoking a cigarette if they want. In Africa smoking is less controlled than in other countries. South Africa, with sub-Saharan Africa's is very strong in economy in comparison with Uganda which is far behind and it relies on the foreign economical assistance.

Because in many African countries is a lack of tobacco legislation, these countries are a target for a lot of tobacco companies. British American Tobacco is the second biggest cigarette manufacturer after Philip Morris.  Many companies that have their tobacco business in Africa have tried everything possible to maintain Africa a smoking zone. But even though they have tried so hard to do this, smoking bans appear in that part of the world, slowly but surely.

Mr. Karugaba's ordered the country's National Environmental Management Authority to make smoking restrictions in public places; these bans have to be enforced within a year. B.A.T asked if they could participate at the first meeting but they were not allowed to do that.

Anti tobacco advocates affirm that the only goal that Tobacco Companies have is how to regulate the tobacco market. In Uganda started to put warning labels about how dangerous is smoking on the cigarette packs.
Mr. Karugaba is trying to find a court order that would make these smoking restrictions more severe and maximize the purpose of the warnings. On the warning labels there was written: ''Ministry of Health warning: Cigarette smoking can be harmful to your health.''

In the late 1980’s British American Tobacco said to the policy makers that they don’t believe that cigarette is harmful. In 1988 the British American Tobacco has wrote to the Ugandan government that the message from the warning labels should be not so strong. But from that time the company has realized the bad health effects that are caused by smoking.  Mr. Karugaba is demanding clear messages about what smoking cigarettes could lead to. The antismoking movement in Africa has advanced in the last years; lawsuits where individual smokers are implicated are something usual.

Because the company was worried about its business and image it has started a public relation campaign. Uganda has its own Monitor, an independent newspaper that leads the population to discussions about smoking.

But in the same time Moses Ali, who is the minister of industry, trade and tourism has invited the population to smoke like it is something related to patriotism. He also said that no one is forced to smoke cigarettes, but if there is someone that would like to do this, he is welcome, because the state will get taxes from them.

The most known cheerleader of all B.A.T. was Mr. Museveni, and he said that the tobacco company is the best things that ever happened to a country that is so destitute. Mr. Museveni advised everyone to smoke but not to inhale the smoke, because it causes cancer. And he also said that Europeans have cancer problems because they inhale the smoke, His father has smoked for 70 years but stayed alive by not inhaling the smoke from the cigarettes. But in Africa there are bigger health problems than the tobacco usage: for example AIDS, malaria and others.
