Hypnosis Can Be Used For Theraputic Benefits
Author: People Building
Hypnosis can be used for therapeutic benefits. It can be used to assist people with overcoming a variety of problems and aliments such as quit smoking, weight loss and building confidence.
Using our experience as qualified hypnotherapists who also specialize in Hypnotherapy training (a 3 week course run over 3 months) we have collated the hypnosis scripts that we have written throughout our years as therapists, and in doing so, have now had these published in a downloadable format from our informative website. The scripts can either be bought in bulk or individually. When purchased individually, the prices of the scripts range from being completely free to a maximum of about £3.00. The pricing is varied depending on the number of words in the script itself (this is displayed with each script available) the demand for a scripts of that subject, and the amount of linguistic structure that was included in that particular hypnosis script.
Hypnosis scripts are not just used for hypnotherapists. Many people who have studied NLP have an understanding of how to get a patient into trance and out of trance. This means that during the trance experience, it would be more than reasonable for the NLP Practitioner to use a Hypnosis script that relates to the specific problem that the patient has. The script can either be used as it is, or just to provide the NLP Practitioner with some inspiration or idea about how they can begin to tackle the problem that the client has.
Knowing that we write hypnosis scripts that people like to purchase, we would like to share with you the skills required to write hypnosis scripts. This is why we have written a downloadable e-book which details the many techniques available to you to help you to write hypnosis scripts. The book contains tools which enable you to structure your language and sentences in a hypnotic way, a way that is designed to create trance.
Trance is a perfectly natural and normal state. People go into trance all the time, everyday, without the help of a hypnotist. If you have ever driven home from work and parked up your car, only to realize that you can't actually remember your journey that you have just taken (and also know that you haven't left a trail of destruction behind you - you did stop at all of the red lights and give way at all of the roundabouts!) this is an experience of trance. In the same way that you know, even when you were driving in that trance state, if your car had caught fire, you would have realized and stopped driving, when in a hypnotic trance with a hypnotherapist, if there was a problem there (in the room, with something that was said or done that you were not comfortable with) you would know about that also. This is good because it gives you the opportunity to accept the suggestions you are given when they fit in with who you are and what you want to achieve, and to reject the suggestions that do not necessarily "sit right" with you. A deeper experience of this natural trance state, could be, for example, if you have ever fallen asleep with your television on, when you're not in a deep sleep, in fact you can still hear the television in background at time. You could easily get up and switch off the television, but it just feels like too much effort. You are so relaxed that your body feels very heavy and too heavy to lift up.

Will smoking hinder weight loss on Atkins Diet?
I am on the induction phase of the Atkins diet and not losing weight. It’s only been a week but I thought I might have results by now. Some small result and I have not eaten anything that is not allowed in induction. I am definitely in ketosis.
I smoke. 3-5 cigs per day. Will that hinder weight loss on the Atkins diet? I know that induction is period where your body is detoxing so I wonder how smoking affects this.
No Atkins debunkers or guesses please. I need sound advice from those that know the answer. Resources most appreciated. Thanks heaps.
No, smoking shouldn’t affect Atkins, however, many have stopped smoking while doing Atkins. So, JMHO, this is the best diet for smokers.;-)
Stop smoking and weight loss support groups?
I’m trying to help and support my sister in her attempt to stop smoking. Each time she’s tried, she ends up gaining weight, and with a lifestyle quite stressful, she returned to cigarettes.
If anyone has any good information about online support groups, messageboards, or an easy way to talk with others in the same boat, I think it might help her.
She’s a beautiful person and been there for me a lot, but I don’t know how to help her do this. She’s a great wife and mother, (never smokes in the house or car around the kids) and unlike many who smoke WANTS to quit.
Those things are so addictive. She knows how harmful it is, and feels so stupid for smoking, which then makes her depressed.
She had some success with the patch, so is starting that and Weight Watchers, and an excercise group she enjoys.
She lives in a small town, and will attend WW meetings, but it doesn’t seem enough support to get through such a tough struggle.
Thanks for any help.
This is a great website that I used to help me stop smoking. It will allow your sister to set a quit date and then once she quits, it adds up all the money she has saved and all the hours added to her life from quitting!! It’s very inspirational and she could even upgrade her membership to make friends that have quit too (i didn’t do that part).

Also, I have used the Quit Now hot-line here in Ohio. Not sure where she lives, but most states have their own program. She can call up a “quit coach” anytime she gets a craving. They will also call her once a week to follow up and see how she is doing. As for the weight loss, it’s not a good idea to try and do everything all at once. I quit smoking for two weeks and then decided to start dieting and exercising more. There will be a natural weight gain from quitting the nicotine, but it’s much healthier than smoking!! I hope this helps…I’ve been smoke-free for 22 days now!!
Have you ever made an appointment to see a hypnotist either to quit smoking, weight loss or phobias?
How did it go or do you think hypnotists are fake & prey on gullible people.
Yes. I made the appointment and then when I went there and found that the was running his practice from a converted garage on his personal property– I left after the consultation and never came back. He was creepy and came to this meeting wearing sweats and house shoes.
How does smoking help with weight loss?
A lot of people told me I lost a lot of weight when I started smoking again. I still eat the same things I eat. Could there really be a connection with smoking and weight loss?
Slightly speeds metabolism. But it is a killer.
What can hypnotherapy be used for other than smoking, weight loss and anxiety?
I know it is often used to help people quit smoking, lose weight and ease anxiety but is that it? Can it help someone be on time, remember to do a chore everyday (for example), or help them from spending too much money? These are hypothetical examples, but I would really like to know what hypnotherapy can do for people. A list or website or anything would be helpful.
While hypnosis is commonly associated with habit cessation (for example, losing weight or quitting smoking), many hypnotherapists have a much broader range of treatment. A well-trained clinician using hypnotherapy can help clients who suffer from physical symptoms and conditions (including migraine, sexual dysfunctions, high blood pressure, and sleep disorders), psychological symptoms (including anxiety, stress, insomnia, phobias, depression, and the effects of past trauma) and life issues (limiting behaviors, career change, divorce, aging, relationship crises). Other medical applications include pain control, use during dental work, comfort during birth, and enhancing comfort and healing before, during, and after surgical procedures.
