How "Quit Smoking" Groups Can Help You Quit Smoking
Author: Mike Didcky
Those of us who have attempted to quit smoking know that this is not an easy task, but it is an important one, and there are several aids to help you through this difficult process. Products, such as patches, or Zyban (which can be bought at better supplied online pharmacy stores), which can help you overcome the physical difficulties and side effects of quitting smoking. These side effects are some of the most common reasons that people go back to smoking again. But what about mental and emotional support?
There are quit smoking groups, which you can join both locally to you and online, which can help with the mental side effects involved when you quit smoking. This mental support can be just as important as the physical aids. For most smokers, smoking is a significant part of life. From choosing a smoking table in a restaurant, to the friends you make while on a smoking break at work, smoking can be hard to give up, and quitting requires a change in your behavioral patterns.
Speaking to people who are going through a similar experience to you can be very helpful. It helps to know that there are other people out there going through the same struggles, and succeeding. This can give you hope and support that you too can get through this difficult transition successfully.
Other peoples advice, what they have found helpful and what they have found detrimental, can also be very useful. Other people may have tried different quit smoking aids that you hadn't thought of, and you in turn may have thought of things that they haven't. This kind of sharing of information can be invaluable, and it is always nicer to hear advice from a real person, rather than from a website.
There is also the positive element of healthy competition, and the pressure not to let other people down. By connecting with people who are also quitting, you have more of an incentive not to go back to smoking – the idea of telling someone else that you gave up might be the thing that holds you back from smoking again.

non smoking table talkers?
movable signs to tell people that they are in a non smoking area
What about them?
What is that restaurant in Toronto where I see people smoking from a bong at each table?
What’s the difference between a Hooka and a bong?
I don’t know, but more than likely it was hookahs you saw people using, not bongs. Was it a Middle Eastern restaurant?
Edit: These days, hookahs are used for tobacco (may be flavored), especially in a restaurant setting (hookah bars). People usually sit around, smoke and drink tea. Bongs, are usually used for smoking pot, and may be more simply constructed. Both are called water pipes.
Take at look at http://www.customhookahs.com to see some examples of hookahs.
With the facts on the table why are young people smoking cigarettes?
My question would be why is anyone still smoking cigarettes? But I suppose with young people especially it’s often started to be “one of the crowd” and to do what your friends do. Even adults who might like to give it up have a hard time because from what I hear, and see from others, it’s very addictive once you begin. Most of us when we were younger, are not thinking “down the road” of how our behavior might affect us physically. That hopefully does, and should come with maturity.
To the credit of many young people through, I think there are lots of them who do think ahead and decide never to pick up the first cigarette. I’ve known a couple of kids who have watched their parents or other loved ones, smoke away their life and are determined not to take that route.
smoking table lamp bulb?
my table lamp bulb just started to flicker and then smoke and smell badly of burning. the lamp is now off and unplugged. is it safe to change the bulb and use again or is it something wrong with the lamp itself?? anyone with any electroic knowledge that could help i would be greatful. Ty in advance.
It was the right wattage bulb.
idiot you cant put a 60w bulb in a lamp with a max of 40w!!!! (answer 2) lol
There was smoke coming from the top of the lamp, as though it was coming from the bulb.
Bulbs will not smell like they are burning. They are made to get extremely hot and survive. The burning smell is from the lamp socket or wiring. Do not use the lamp until the socket and wiring is checked. This is a very simple job usually done with a screwdriver,a pocket knife, and a replacement socket. Like all electrical problems be careful and notice which wires on the socket are connected to which ever pole on the socket. There is a polarity here that should be recognized. The positive side of the wiring should be connected to the center part of the lite bulb. In a home electrical system the smaller side of the plug is always the positive or hot side of the system.
who is guity of child endangerment, the person smoking in a black jack table, or the dealer that is pregnant?
now mind you that this is a smoking area in vegas and it is not against the law to smoke
jesse good point but sunshine ignorance of the law is not a defense, it is the mother’s duty to protect the (baby) from any harmful doing, the other person is not always going to do the right thing therefore he must be arm way…just like abusive relationship or harmful environment!!! 1000 smokers will not care in vegas but in san francisco u better be lighting it in the sewers…
