Author Proposes Ways of Getting Rid of Tobacco Addiction in Self Published Book
Author: Michael McCain
Who else can write a book on how to quit smoking better than a smoker himself?
Dr. Terrell Leeke has been writing his book for 10 years before he self-published it. He admits to his own tobacco addiction and pledges to help people quit the addiction by writing 100 Ways to Quit Smoking.
Leeke’s self-published book starts by saying that if you make up your mind about quitting everything will fall into place. This leads to the conclusion that with the help of self-conditioning, one will be led into a life instructed by his psyche.
One hundred helpful tips can guarantee a lifelong health plan that will become a significant part of someone’s effort to give up a life threatening addiction.
Apart from being a self-help book with suggestions and tips on how to quit smoking, Leeke’s book is also a personal account of his struggles with the habit. Being a doctor and counselor of numerous patients with tobacco addictions, gives the author the credibility to write this book.
100 Ways to Quit Smoking, published by Xlibris, is useful in preventing tobacco-related diseases.

In what play can I find the line, “Tobacco is a filthy weed…”?
A comedy in which a character is trying to quit smoking. Each time he gets the urge he quotes, “Tobacco is a filthy weed, and from the devil doth proceed. It stains your fingers, burns your clothes, and makes a chimney of your nose.”
I don’t know what play it’s used in, but It’s actually a quote from Benjamin Waterhouse, the first U.S. doctor to test the Smallpox vaccine
Did the smoking ban change attitudes towards smoking?
I wasn’t 18 when smokings was banned in bars and pubs e.t.c, and have no memory of people smoking indoors. But I came across this article (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/guest/contributers/article1913299.ece ) recently. To quote “In 15 months the smoking ban has tilted society completely the other way. Where once there was an acceptance of fug, there is intolerance of anything but clean air …. So clean is the air now, that being exposed to the smell of cigarettes is a physical shock. I do not exaggerate … without protest these [smoking] shelters have subsequently been banned at all hospitals. Councils have stopped staff smoking outside offices, depots and schools”. Another source quotes cancer council NSW (Australia) tobacco control manager Wendy Oakes saying “when I first started working on smoke-free pubs … people use to say ‘oh, the smokers need somewhere to go’ but now they say ‘can’t you stop them smoking outside as well because that’s where I want to sit’”
In Australia and New Zealand, there are currently some bans on smoking in parks and beaches and areas near the entrances to buildings, and some calls for outdoor dining area bans.
Do you agree with the above saying the ban has changed the social acceptability of, and public attitudes towards smoking?
I can understand not wanting someone smoking right next to you when you are eating but to ban smoking outside also? That’s seems a bit intrusive to my personal liberty and pursuit of happiness besides you’d think it would be more effective to close down a couple coal factories if this is really about health issues.
What is a good catchy quote for Smoking or Tobacco?
I have to draw something about smoking/tobacco and i also need a catchy quote to go under it. My picture is of a women with a hole between her lips. (If that helps) Can you help me please?

If you knew there was less harmful…….tobacco product…than smoking?
Would you use it ?……i`m taking about Swedish Snus not snuff or chewing tobacco, the product that is medically quoted as being 90-98% less harmful….its a shame that the European Union has still its outdated ban on it being bought locally within the E.U….only being available online from Sweden
It makes you wonder what backhanders they are getting to keep this ban place from the pharmaceutical companys….maybe hey ?
No infact….if you read the medical reports…..there is less risk of mouth cancer(if any !!!!)…..due to the way its produced…..i think you may be confused with chewing tobacco….maybe you should look it up….know more about before posting an answer
They still don`t know what damage….the E-Cigs are doing….to people….remember that plastic gives off vapor when its heated…..look at the cartrage…..
Less harmful is still harmful, so no from myside.
