"A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step." Lao-tzu said those words, actually wrote them down, about 2,500 years ago, and they are just as true now as they were then! If you need to lose weight, or quit a bad habit, then perhaps you have taken that first step, or you are about to! Bravo! Bravo!
Some folks believe in good luck charms, to give them the ability, the strength, and the discipline to stick to a diet, exercise program, or to refrain from a bad habit.
An Indian Medicine Bag is a Good Luck Charm that has been around for hundreds of years, and they are a very powerful good luck charm or amulet to have! Even though good luck charms are always said to be for entertainment purposes only, we all know that these beauties can sometimes have amazing effects on people and their lives!
The Indian Medicine Bag may help you to overcome smoking, drinking, or eating too much, and it may also help you to Find a Lover, Win Money, get a better job, or have more success! Maybe it will assist you in being strong enough to resist the temptation of the cookies, pies, cakes, and candies! It is well known that to lose weight, it is a good idea to stay away from sugar, flour, sweets, et cetera.
A good tip: When you feel tempted to eat something sugary, just take four ounces of warm water and dissolve about a half teaspoon of baking soda into it. Take some of this solution in your mouth (like mouthwash) and after a few seconds of swishing it around, spit it out. Do this two or three times, and this will neutralize your taste buds, and you will have NO DESIRE for the sweets, at least for a while!
This is like a homeopathic remedy to curb your food cravings for sweets. There are many great vitamins and herbs that can also help YOU to lose weight, feel better, sleep better, and to have a better life because of increased vitality and energy! My suggestion is for you to do a bit of research online, and THIS WEBSITE has some great resources for you to review in these areas!

Does smoking help you lose weight or can it actually make you fatter?
i smoke. im not fat or anything but i have been trying to lose some extra weight. does smoking help or make it worse?
Smoking doesnt make you lose weight. But it is a nerve stimulant, the same as caffeine and alcohol.
Im 27 and quit smoking this year when i found out i was pregnant. But before that i was a smoker for 10 years. In that whole time i NEVER lost weight because i was smoking. But i never put any on either.
I was always taught you put on weight after you quit and in this case i have because im pregnant. But after seeing my ob/gyn about my weight he was surprised to find that i have put on no extra weight except for my baby.
I think the reason so many ppl put on weight after quitting is because they search for something to fit their hands (in this case food) to curb their cravings for nicotine.
Nicotine is not a weight loss supplement and never will be, and ive never met any smoker who has lost weight because of smoking…..(except for 2 relatives of mine who lost weight due to cigarette induced lung cancer…they both died of pneumonia in the last 3 years).
If you want to lose weight, dont cop out by using something unhealthy as the alternative. Go out there and make an effort to make yourself as healthy as you can be – by losing weight with gradual exercise and healthy food.
How can I stop smoking, lose weight, be a better housekeeper and in general improve myself?
I’d like one solution for all of these things. I’m also very lazy and kind of impatient
Give your TV to charity. It is too boring to be lazy unless you are entertained. If you like to read a book, find a local track and only read when you are walking on the track (or some other safe area where you can walk and read). And with the smoking, recondition your body = when you want a cigarette, walk for 10 minutes, or do situps, or pushups. Exercise causes the release of endorphins and you can train your body to want to exercise.
How Do I lose weight and quit smoking with bipolar?
Well im a 21 yr old female and I have bipolar disorder and I would love to quit smoking and lose weight and hope to keep it off but im just afraid that I will do all that and lose my mind in the process so im just looking for easy ways or some suggestions??? Im a bit afraid of going crazy
im a little afraid to take any meds…. I have been on too many things already
I take medication for bi-polar and I actually lost a little weight. I’m on the thin side of normal.
I take:
Geodon 40 mg (for mania)
Lamictal 200 mg (for mood stabilizer)
Abilify 10 mg (for depression)
That med mix took a long time to find… but I do recommend taking medication for your condition.
I’ve been “crazy” too and put in a mental hospital, but I have never had a problem when I take Geodon which is for mania like that.
Good luck finding a med mix that works for you! I think that’s the best solution because then you can have the best of both worlds… a lucid mind and a good body.
(Not sure about stop smoking advice though.)
Should I try to quit smoking or lose weight first?
My new years resolutions are to lose weight and quit smoking. I realize that I do not have the will power to do both at the same time. I know that when you quit smoking you usually gain weight so I am not sure if I should try to lose weight first and then try to quit smoking or quit smoking and then try to lose all the weight.
ANY SUGGESTIONS APPRECIATED!
I am not extremely over weight, I need to lose about 15 to 20 lbs. Thanks for your help.
Quit smoking. You can always lose the weight again and as long as you are not already too overweight, then the health benefits from quitting smoking will outweigh everything else.
Should I start smoking to lose weight?
I’m going to be on TV in a month and I want to lose as much weight as possible. My brother said to smoke for a month. Is that true? Will it help?
No…You dont want to trash your lungs just to lose wait.Besides smoking is very addictive there is no guarentee that you will be able to quit after a month. Really work out hard and eat right that should do the trick. Caffeine can help reduce your appetite like coffee (no cream/sugar) if dieting or green tea. Dont go to smoking its not worth it.. then if you dont get off the cigs you’ll get nasty teeth and no one wants to see that on TV..If you can afford it get a personal trainer…they can really help push you to lose the weight..
