Jenah's Thoughts on Saleisha's Win and Life After America 's Next Top Model

Author: Groshan Fabiola

Jenah Doucette has been through a lot in this cycle of America 's Next Top Model, including a smoking ban, which she successfully survived. Moreover, she was just one of the few girls who did take great pictures amidst this rather boring season, thus making her one of the last few girls to be selected as the winner in the reality modeling series. However, she wasn't the easy, breezy type, and was soon eliminated right before she could take a spot as one of the final two.

The finale has long aired and Jenah has now come out in the open about what she had to say of the season and her experience on America 's Next Top Model. She also commented on Saleisha Stowers' controversial win, saying, "She worked her butt off and deserved to win it."

While on America 's Next Top Model, Jenah was able to keep up with the smoking ban, but now that she's come home, she's back at her little habit again. The young modelette said, "[The ban] was really hard at first and became a little moody from time to time. Now that I am back I started smoking again but I limit myself to one a day."

Despite some intense comments made during her elimination, Jenah brushed them all off, saying that she has no hard feelings about whatever Saleisha or Chantal Jones had to say about her performance.

"[Their comments] didn't affect my relationship with the girls," Jenah explained. "I thought Chantal's comment was a little harsh but I loved all the girls especially Bianca, Chantal and Victoria so I ended up making some good friends from the show."

In fact, as early as now, Jenah has already revealed that she and Chantal will be working together in the near future. She said, "I am planning on moving to New York in the spring. Chantal and I have been talking about moving in together. I want to continue modeling and will do whatever gets thrown my way maybe even acting. Also I am very interested in human rights so hopefully with my connections something will workout."

Should your job be able to fire you for smoking? (America’s Next Top Model)?
Miracle-Gro has instituted a ban on employee smoking, and America’s Next Top Model has done the same. Should businesses be able to fire employees for engaging in legal activities on their private time? PLEASE NOTE that I do not refer to activities which pose security risks or safety risks (i.e. drinking two hours before flying a plane). If possible, please state your job and whether or not bans exist which apply to your free time and legal activities.
    Consider this before you answer:

My opinion is an employer cannot determine what you do when you are not on the clock.

I understand if an employee constantly runs outside for a smoke to the point where it’s interfering with their jobs. However, a “sneak away for a smoke” every so often isn’t that bad as longs as the employee can still do their jobs and smoking has no impact on their productivity.

I was a Supervision at Best Buy and went outdoors for a cigarette regularly. Instead of taking 15 minute breaks, I’d take 5 minute smoke breaks. No one seemed to mind me doing that since I wasn’t “screwing” the company.

What do you think about the smoking ban on America’s Next Top Model?
I religiously watched all the other 8 cycles of ANTM but have decided to boycott this Cycle 9. It is Tyra Banks’ choice and decision to not have the models not smoke in the house or on camera but to make this a non-smoking cycle was going a little far, in my opinion. I could understand banning smoking in the house or on camera, but to tell someone they couldn’t do it all was a little over the top for me. I haven’t watched it since the first episode of Cycle 9. Does anyone else agree with me?

I totally agree about the not smoking on camera thing but who is Tyra to ban them from it completely? If thats how its going to be they should say ahead of time no smokers allowed or something. And while their at it, they should ban drinking as well. And gossiping and crying at makeover time…as long as were on it they should be required to follow an excercise and healthy eating regiment as well. Boot camp it up a bit.

The whole point of it being wrong is that they have never done this on previous seasons.
