All of these quit smoking symptoms will conspire against you. They will irritate and annoy you when you try to quit smoking. But remember, they are just symptoms and they will all pass in time. As irritating and annoying as they all are, none of them are as tedious as an early death from cigarettes!

    I have to make a quit smoking kit for a school project. I am going to put it in a shoebox and that will be the kit. What sould ido on the outside, this needs to be creative as possible. I have to make a 2 month calender and im going to put “someone died of lung cancer today” and you would save 1000.00 today” stuff like that. I am also going to make a spinner that is 50/50 (half red, half green) red is die green is live. can you also help with things to put in the calendar? thanks soo much :)

      Here is some interesting info and tips for quitting that you might want to include!

      *Nibble on low-calorie itmes like carrot sticks, celery and apples, suck on cinnamon or chew gum.
      *Stretch out your meals; eat slowly and pause between bites.
      *After dinner, instead of a cigarette, treat yourself to a mint or cup of orange tea with honey.
      *Take a deep breath and exhale slowly. Remember, the desire to smoke WILL pass.
      *Also, smokers almost always want to light up during a party. Try to avoid them if it’s really worth it to you.

      Here are some basic strategies:
      *Stay positive! When you wake up, promise yourself that you won’t smoke a cigarette that day.
      *Picture success. Plan ahead and think of how you’ll deal with stressful situations without lighting up.
      *Take a breather. Relaxation exercises help relieve urges to smoke. Remember, urges to smoke ARE temporary.
      *Work out. Exercise, like swimming, running and racket sports, helps relieve tension and reduces your urge to smoke.

      Now, let me give you some info on what happens to your body when you quit:

      *15 years after quitting: Risk of coronary heart disease is that of a non-smoker’s!

      I’m an ex smoker, so here is a good quit package for your mom:
      A note telling her why you want her to quit
      Allen Carr’s book on quitting smoking
      A box of patches (Nicoderm makes them but get the clear patch… its less irritating.
      A couple of bottles of water and a pack of sugar free gum
      A puzzle (to keep her hands busy) or a crossword book (try a dollar store for these)

      Also, tell her to look at this site (write it down for her)

    I’m trying to order a free quit kit for my mum and she knows but its just every time i try and order one it says ‘we only sell it to residents in England’ or ‘we only sell it to residents in Wales’.     does it come in a blank box or does it say quit kit or something on it

    i live with someone who doesnt know im smoking again and id rather keep it quit for the time being but a big box with NHS quit kit on will sorta give it away

    Then they will piss me off and then ill wanna smoke
