I am trying to quit smoking, does anyone know of a herbal blend I can use to substitute?
My sister suggested mugwart and lemon balm but I didn’t like it. The clove ciggs have tobacco blended in with them. I just feel like at night before I sleep or after dinner, I want a smoke to relax or have something in my hand. I just want a substitute for a little till I can get my cravings under control. Thanks for your help!
I actually found what I was looking for, if anyone is interested this is a good website.

Use a bramble plant, like blackberries. Take a young (not yet ripe) bramble bud and put it in your lip like chewin tebacco. The bitter flavor is supposed to create an aversion to the flavor of tobacco for as long as you keep the bud in your mouth… I don’t know if it works, but I read it in a book somewhere.

Do they sell legal bud, herbal smoke blends, and herbal solid smokes at head shops or stores?
I live in Tampa and am wondering this. I don’t smoke cigarettes and am quitting weed. The stuff I am referring to is like the Dreamsmoke, Dutch Green, Hawaiin Haze, and Black Magic Solid.

Unfortunately legal weed gets a bad wrap when people get the crappy kind. I use for medical purposes (not meaning I have a prescription, just meaning I don’t do it to get high or stoned)… I get chronic migraines and back pain. I use blueberry bud from International Oddities, but I have also heard that the spice smoke and Hawaiian bud are good too. From what I hear, if it’s a buzz you are looking for, the splice platinum is best.

And for the other people who answered this I suggest trying International Oddities for legal bud.

    Legal alternatives to smoking?
I am about to start probation and have quit smoking for about 4 months now. I was recently introduced into a legal herb, called Gonjah Herbal Incense, it actually is a great feeling after smoking it. I’m only worried about whats in it, and what harm could come from the random herbs mixed in. I’ve been looking around the net and found a few alternatives that seem pretty legitimate,
spice gold, (quite a few positive reviews on this, i’m only worried if it has any problems with drug tests)

and another Gonji Bud (Cheaper, cant find much about it )

I like the Gonjah Herbal Incense from the local smokeshops, but it is just really expensive, and I can’t find anything about it online. (sells for 25 a gram)

I know these are not as good as the real deal, but I just want something so i can enjoy similar effects, without fears of drug tests on probation.
I live in texas, and can’t move. I guess this was a bad place to ask these kinds of questions. I doubt anyone will give a useful answer.

My teenage friend’s absolutely BIZARRE views on weed?
I’m 17 and my best friend is 15. He does weed, smokes and drinks alcohol (Once in a while). His parents don’t know about it of course.
I’ve told him once that he should stop doing weed and he told me that it’s just as bad as smoking tobacco and he can quit anytime he likes. According to him, weed isn’t addictive like cocaine or meth. He also says that he’s using a ‘legal’ herbal blend and not raw marijuana. I do know that there are some people who are prescribed weed by doctors for depression and stuff, but it’s highly controversial.

    He lives in Texas.

Is that even legal? And should I get him to stop? If what he says is true, then why do the cops jail people who sell weed or have posession of it?
But is weed not addictive as he says? Thats the most important question I want to ask on here.

1.. Marijuana is NOT chemically addictive. That is not a bizarre view, its actually NOT chemically addictive.
To be fair, it can become emotionally addictive if used irresponsibly, but the same is true of EVERY activity that gives the person pleasure, from marijuana to the internet to gambling and sex to reading, watching tv, cooking, walking… literally any activity that causes pleasure can become emotionally addictive.

      2. There ARE legal smoking blends. They dont have actual marijuana in it, which is why they are legal. Some give a slight high, some give effects that are like drinking herbal teas. Some are made of the same herbs that the herbal teas are made from. Some have synthetic chemicals mixed into them that mimic marijuana. They are all legal, although the synthetic chemicals cross over into a gray area, where its sold as “not for human consumption”.

The smoking blends without synthetic chemicals added are 100% legal. The ones with synthetic chemicals added are really only legal because the older people making laws dont know about them. The chemicals in general are safe when used responsibly, but NOT as safe as real marijuana.

Also know that if they have medical marijuana it could be legal.

Yes, what he says is true. Why do the cops jail everyone for marijuana? You are young. I am older and more cynical. From my point of view, marijuana remains illegal because of the profits people make with it illegal. Think about it. Marijuana is everywhere, so the cops do minimal leg work and get a decent sized bust. There are the profits from their over time working on the case and court time. The court fees on the case bring in profits. They get front page head lines and just like the pres in a time of war, approval ratings and donations go up.

Pharmaceutical companies spend a lot of time lobbying against marijuana. Why? Because marijuana could be used as an alternative in many sitautions (certainly not all, but many) where currently there are harder, more narcotic, and chemically addictive meds given, like morphine, ativan, xanax, oxycontin, compazine, and several others. Also, lets not forget marinol, their synthetic thc pill. it is patented and costs 1500$ when I was on it a couple years ago for what was roughly equal to about 50$ worth of marijuana.

Alcohol and tobacco companies lobby against it because they dont want legal competition. Paper and cotton companies lobby against it, because hemp could provide serious competition.

And above all, if they suddenly stop fighting marijuana and make it legal without a fight, they have to admit they lied and used biased studies in their information they put out telling people how bad it is. They have to go back and admit that when they criminalized it in the 30s it was part of a racist campaign with absolutely no legit evidence to back up their claims.

can I use a tobacco pipe to smoke other non-tobacco blends?
I was wondering if there were any alternatives for tobacco pipes other than smoking tobacco. I’ve already quit, and got a nice tobacco pipe as a gift recently, and am not looking into returning to smoking tobacco. I was wondering if there were other things you could use a tobacco pipe for smoking, such as herbal blends or menthol, since like pipe tobacco you would smoke these for flavor, not for inhaling the smoke.
I don’t really smoke weed anymore, to be honest, so I was looking into herbal blends and stuff more…although, they’re also supposed to be marijuana replacements/alternatives aren’t they? so they may work just like marijuana in a tobacco pipe, I don’t even know if weed would really work in a tobacco pipe…if so, then maybe herbal blends would be the same kind of idea?
