Electronic Cigarettes & Quit Smoking

Author: webrecsol

However, electronic cigarettes do include nicotine, leading many current smokers to view this device as one that may help them to quit smoking. Due to the fact that the FDA is not currently regulating electronic cigarettes, manufacturers cannot market them as “quitting smoking” devices.

What makes this revolutionary product so exciting is that these are not only tobacco free cigarettes, but are also smoke free cigarettes. All of this while still providing users with nicotine. This means that smokers will actually be able to beat smoking bans, while smoking a product that contains no tobacco and produces no smoke. Not only are tobacco free cigarette, but this product also does not contain any of the 4,000 carcinogens that are found in cigarettes.

While the actual ingredients of the electronic cigarette cartridges vary from product to product, the primary ingredients in all of the brands is propylene glycol. This FDA has reviewed this ingredient, and found it to be generally safe for human consumption in foods.

For some more experienced e-cig users who do enjoy the liquid, however, 21 Century Smoking also carries the Jackpot and the Pocket Ace. These two models are both compatible with liquid nicotine. The one constant is that all of these models are tobacco free cigarettes.

Brandon Duke, a user of the Blackjack, truly sees potential to help him quit smoking. “There is no other type of smoke free cigarette that has really allowed people the freedom to quit cigarette smoking.” Standing on a street corner in Portland he noted that, “A lot of people try to quit smoking in so many different ways, but what excites me about this electronic cigarette is just how easy it is to use.”

Whether someone is quitting smoking or just looking for an alternative to smoking, electronic cigarettes figure to be a potential avenue to kicking this harmful habit. At a minimum, many smokers have found that their consumption of cigarettes does drop dramatically when they begin using electronic cigarettes. While not technically marketed as a device that can be used to quit cigarette smoking, the hope is that the potential is there for this to be the case.

These electronic cigarettes do not produce smoke, and are actually smoke free cigarettes. What you do see coming out of the user’s mouth is an actual vapor, as opposed to smoke.

Do you think the cigerette companies should have to pay for all the expensive quit smoking products?
If you decided to quit? I see them suing tobacco companies and then using the money for schools??? I mean wouldn’t it be better if they helped those they hurt, instead of sending money to places that have nothing to do with cigarettes.
    I’m not talking about suing.

    I know smoking is bad.

The quit smoking products are waaaay too expensive when most do not even work.

All you do gooders who love to lay blame please understand I grew up in a smoking house I’ve been breathing smoke for years before I ever started, when I was in school they took us to RJR every yeat on field trips. It is more powerful of an addiction than heroin. All I want to know is why they can’t provide stop smoking supplies for anyone who ask.

Might not have to worry about that pretty soon ! The Phillip Morris factory in North Carolina just announced it will be closing with a loss of 3,000 jobs. They are going to Europe . Guess where the liberals will make up that TAX LOSS , keep an eye on your paycheck ??Be kinda` funny , smokers will still smoke , and they will be buying a European cigarette , and all that TAX revenue will go to Europe. Go figure …

Does anyone know a natural way to quit smoking cigarettes instore products don’t seem to work?
I would love to quit smoking but I haven’t been able to find a good product in the stores to help me. They all boast about their effectivness and maybe they work for some but I have smoked for years and they don’t work for me. I would like to find some natural products that don’t hurt my system and can take for as long as needed to kick this filthy habit.
    Sincerely,
    Daisymae

First off, congratulations for WANTING to quit smoking!!

As far as answering, there are a lot of ways, and it also depends on how long you’ve been smoking. The best ways are slowly lowering your dose (takes a long time sometimes), or going cold turkey (which is faster, but harder). Either way, the last thing is making the decision to quit, so you’ll eventually have to deal with the withdrawal.

For the most part, when you deal with withdrawal, you’ll just have to tough it out, but there are some things that can help cleanse out the toxins and may help to minimize some of the effects of withdrawal…
Drinking water will help to detox, and taking some supplements that work as cleansers may help as well. Specifically, Apple Cider Vinegar, Green Tea (decaffeinated), Chlorophyll (fantastic cleanser), and even good amounts of fiber and water helps some people (although it’s not very comfortable for the lower level of detoxification you get).

All that being said, it’s likely that the symptoms should stop relatively shortly after your last pill (it’s never as long as it feels like it is). Your neurotransmitters don’t take too terribly long to scream for something they are addicted to after you stop.
Another important thing to note is that no matter how bad it gets, taking more of the drug (and yes, nicotine is a drug) will only make the withdrawal last longer and will be harder on you in the long run. Good luck, and congrats again!

He needs to set a quit date and remind himself every day of it.

YOU can’t help him, he will only see it as nagging.

I quit three years ago and it was the best present I ever gave myself….you can tell him that if you like.

Been smoking for 10 years, but my GF means more to me than cigarettes. I am definitely going to need some kind of stop smoking aid to help get me thru it.

The other day i was looking on TV advertisements when i saw the host was telling about electronic cigarette and quoting it as one of the effective quit smoking products is it true?

      Hello!

Some say that using electronic cigarettes can help you quit smoking. Currently there is no scientific evidence for or against it. One option is to gradually lower the level of nicotine in your cartridges to become nicotine and tobacco free.
The other option is to smoke electronic cigarettes with zero nicotine cartridges while applying nicotine patches. That way you separate addiction and habit.

Take a look at this discussion forum discussion.

Maybe electronic cigarettes are something for you.
