Legal Highs - A Closer Look At Legal Herbs.
Author: John Wellington
Normally legal herbs are also referred to as legal alternatives to marijuana. Basically legal herbs are different varieties of plant species that can be either smoked or burned like incense to produce a sense of well being, and for some individuals, euphoria or a mild marijuana like effects. Comparatively speaking, marijuana alternatives like legal herbs are less expensive their illegal counterparts, and are agreeable to smell without any noxious odors.
One can purchase different strains of legal herbs that are available from online retailers for very reasonable prices. These vendors feature legal herb varieties that are a potent, pleasurable alternative to tobacco products, and are available in different forms also, for instance buds, blends and smoking herbs.
Retailers of legal herbs carry similar; Marijuanilla, Kanna, Blue Lotus, Wild Dagga and Damiana are few of the well-liked legal herbs and each one of them is said to have different therapeutic actions. Sites that feature legal herb products for sale such as http://www.majuanaalternatives.com, http://www.legalherbs.org or http://www.herbshangout.com are promoted as potent and exotic, a healthy alternative.
In the case of Damiana, it is said to act as a mild aphrodisiac and creates a feeling of euphoria that can go on up to 1 ½ hours. This also acts to stimulate the genito-urinary tract. Whereas Wild Dagga and its close relative Marijuanilla are dubbed as the best legal herb alternatives available; both generate a pleasant euphoric effect, and the smoke produced is smooth and pleasant tasting. A potent legal herb, Kanna has been around for centuries as a mood enhancer and is related to St. John's Wart, which is mainly used to treat depression. It is a good idea to check first with your doctor, especially if you are taking any medications before you use any type of herbal or dietary supplement.
Just like any other smoking substances there are certain risks involved when inhaling or burning any type of legal herb. As with a majority of combustible substances, the tars and toxins of the plant are prone to be released into the air or into the lungs. Any substance that has been smoked regularly has been shown to have detrimental effects on health; as a result moderation is the key. In spite of the occasional use of legal herbs has not been linked to any long term health effects, but just as with anything, use with care and common sense.

Alternative to Valium PLEASE?
My husband is on Effexor and Valium for chronic depression. he knows he takes too much valium but needs something for the anxiety. Does anyone know of any alternative meds that aren’t as dangerous or addictive as valium please?
My husband has an addicitve nature when it comes to drugs (legal ones). He has been on medication for the past 15 years due to chronic pain from a motor bike accident.
Any help would be appreciated.
I forgot to add that he also suffers panic attacks and anxiety – hence the reason for the vallium.
He is also on ‘norspan’ patches for the chronic pain, so can only go on a specific sort of AD that doesn’t interfer with those.
Thanks for your help so far.
Valium mixed with an addictive nature probably isnt the best mix – huh?
Although meds are extremely effective, I would also suggest some emotional therapy, rather than being dependant on drug therapy.
Seeing a psychiatrist – which you may have already done – is a great way to start things off – if you have seen one already try another – they have some wonderful techniques for anxiety.
Sertraline -Zoloft- would be a fantastic medication as stated earlier by another reader as it combines to qualities.. it acts as an anti-dep and anti-anxiety. Although perhaps he has not been perscribed this becase of his pain relief patches.
Can he be changed on to another type of pain relief for his injuries which may then allow him to try sertraline?
Go back and see your local gp and if you arent happy get a second opinion. Keep going back or seeing someone new until you get your desired outcome. Many doctors wont suggest much, others will go out of their way to help.
Wishing you and your partner all the very best
Are there legal or herbal alternatives to drugs such as Valium/Xanax or Vicodin/Oxy?
Besides KavaKava…I was not impressed.
Yes, counseling, because in my opinion, it sounds like a drug addiction has formed onto you.
So go right on ahead mark a thumbs down and ignore me now.
What drugs should be legal and what drugs should not be legal?
I think pot, valium, vicodin and perhaps MDMA should be legal for adults. I know that is really crazy sounding, but I think a selection like these could free up the prisons in America.
Please let me know your views on drug smuggling into America, drug abuse, and alternatives to keeping two million mostly drug users behind bars in America?
One answer said that people die from MDMA abuse. That isn’t the case. One girl drink enough water to die because her mother heard she could die of dehydration. I must admit that the come down from MDMA is horrible. But if people want to play they have to pay.
All of them. That might sound crazy, but prohibition causes more deaths and destroys more families than any drug ever could. Arrest people for REAL crimes, not personal choices.
Btw, street dealers don’t ask for ID. This puts drugs into the hands of children.
constant fatigue, lethargy, lack of motivation?
For the last week, I’ve been taking massive amounts of caffeine: around 500 mg three or four times a day, just to be able to move around. Besides the downer affects of a CNS stimulant, which I can counteract with more caffeine, I’m finding that I’m having a problem with insomnia, which I guess you would expect. And when I do sleep, I don’t sleep anywhere near as long as I used to.
I’m a full-time college student, so I need the energy to develop the motivation, to be able to do my work, and not collapse into a chair, unable to move, after a full night’s sleep. I can fix this with caffeine, but then I also need to be able to sleep, so it’s a trade off of one problem for another. I’ve been able to use half a valium every now and then to get some sleep, but I don’t like doing that because I don’t want to develop a dependence.
Does anyone have any ideas for a legal alternative?
Stop the coffee and get some iron tablets,u can buy over the counter. These will help pick you up and prevent tiredness etc.If u r like most students u prob don’t eat correct amount of nutrients,so u are most likely iron deficient. The iron will make more red blood cells and thus help more oxygen to get to the brain and you will feel more alert.Plus u will sleep better.
There are natural sleep aids such as Valerian based supplements which u could also consider.
