Smoking during pregnancy effects are incredible. Your unborn child, your child's future, and your own health are at risk if you do not nip your habit in the bud as quickly as you possibly can.
Though everyone is very much aware of the effects on the body, some may not be able to see the long term effects of smoking on the child. If you do not get the proper help you need as soon as possible, you could be jeopardizing the health of your child as he or she continues to grow.
Children exposed to cigarette smoke in the womb are more likely to develop respiratory problems. They are also at risk to develop ear infections, tuberculosis, cancer, food allergies, asthma, stunted growth, and even have problems with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).
Before they even have the chance to fend for themselves outside the womb, babies that have been exposed to smoke directly or from second-hand smoke are at risk for being born underweight or with smaller head circumference. They are also more prone to having episodes of apnoea (lapses in breathing) or Baby Crib Death, or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Not to mention the risks to the child's health during the pregnancy.
There's a definite solution out there in order to prevent or minimize the smoking during pregnancy effects. Consider Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). It is a program that doesn't simply give you a shot of nicotine, slowly weaning you off until you are cured. It targets those areas that control your cravings for nicotine and removes them completely, allowing you to quit smoking safely and naturally. With a success rate of over 97%, NLP is most certainly the safest way to quit smoking so that you can ensure that your child's birth is problem free.

The effects of smoking on exercise-are there any?
Here’s my question
I understand that smoking is awful, and I’ve yet ot kick the habit. I’m working on it
I know that it has an effect on your lungs, I can definitely feel it when I exercise.
What I want to know is, does smoking directly impact how much weight you lose when you exercies, or does it affect how your muscles react to toning? I’m trying to lose baby weight, and I’m curious if smoking will make it harder, other than the breathing difficulties. Does nicotene or smoke impact your ability to lose weight?
When smoking, you are essentially breathing in poisonous air, which goes into your lungs and into the blood stream. During exercise, your muscles fill with blood and, in the case of smokers, the muscle is filled with toxins. This results in your blood and cells being laden with free radical poisons which work to reverse muscle maintenance and make it harder to gain strength. But exercise is the first step towards quitting (believe me, I’ve been there). Stay strong.
How does smoking effect breathing and lungs?
At short-term (I’m not talking about cancer and stuff), what happends exactly to the lungs (alveoli and other stuff)? How does that effect our health (in short-term still)?
Thanks in advance!
Hard to forget about the acute effect on the cardiovascular system:
“Short-term effects
There is some evidence that reducing exposure to tobacco smoke cuts the risk of heart attack. When Helena, Montana implemented a 100% smokefree law, heart attack admissions in the local hospital dropped by 40%, and rebounded when a court suspended the law.[48] Heart attack admissions have been shown by meta-analysis to drop by an average 27%[49] after the implementation of smoke-free laws.
Adults or children with asthma can experience attacks brought on by passive smoking[50][51][52][53][54], and there has been one case study report of a death due to an asthma attack associated with passive smoking[55].
Tobacco smoke is an irritant, and allergy sufferers can experience stuffy or runny noses, watery or burning eyes, sneezing, coughing, wheezing, a feeling of suffocation, and other typical allergy symptoms within minutes of exposure.
Many former smokers, and those who are trying to quit prefer to not be around smoke as it can cause them to have cravings. Some people simply do not like the odor, which clings to hair, skin, teeth, fingernails, clothing, furniture, and rugs”
“Short-Term Effects
The body’s response to nicotine is immediate — causing short-term increases in blood pressure, heart rate, and blood flow from the heart. Nicotine also causes arteries to narrow,5 while carbon monoxide reduces the amount of oxygen the blood can carry — two side effects which create an imbalance in the demand for oxygen by the cells and the amount of oxygen the blood is able to supply.6″

This is strange question. The smoke will irritate the bronchial tissues, making you feel worse.
Smoking Effects On Breathing?
When someone smokes, how does it affect their breathing rate, IRV, ERV and tidal volume?
Please answer a.s.a.p, it’s for some of my coursework! Thanks =]
The tar coats the surface of the lungs, stumping its ability to absorb oxygen, so you get less air. If you stop smiking, the tar is still there but breathing gets a little easier
Smoking hookah effects your breathing while jogging?
I used to smoke hookah and go jogging at the gym later in the day and that didn’t do much to my breathing but some people recommend me to stop smoking it, seeing how smoking anything is bad. Also told me if i wanted to lose weight i should stop too.
They are absolutely right.
