Why Electonic Cigarettes?

Here are grim statistics: smoking can end the life of at least 1 out of 10 people. If the trend does not change, by 2030, the number of people who will die will increase, which is 1 in every 6 individuals. Moreover, in each 8 seconds, at least one person dies from too much consumption of tobacco. Yet a lot of people--even you--like to smoke. If you do not want to take risks but cannot give up smoking just yet, you can try the electronic cigarette.

Reasons Why People Smoke

There are millions of people who still smoke despite the dangers associated with it. In 2002, global smoking statistics, about one-third of men all over the world would never fail to smoke at least once each day. More than 10 billion of cigarettes are purchased every day. There are so many reasons why people smoke. Topping the list is the fact that it can really be addictive. This is because of nicotine, which is one of the leading components of cigarettes. Nicotine is actually a stimulant that sends "electric signals" to the brain. When you take it in through smoking, you will enjoy its calming or therapeutic effects. This will also explain why most would smoke when they are overly stressed. They can also activate the pleasure corners of your brain. Soon, with constant smoking, your brain will get used to the stimulation that you would definitely suffer from physical and emotional withdrawal symptoms such as shaking and depression when you do not get to sniff even once for a day. It will then be hard for you to give up such hobby even if you are fully aware of the risks at hand.

Other reasons for smoking include the distinct taste cigarettes give to a person's mouth. Haven't you asked by menthol cigarettes are selling like hotcakes these days? In fact, there are some individuals who would smoke just to get off any pungent, sweet, sour, or whatever taste they have acquired after eating a certain food. Smoking is somehow related to psychology too. Sometimes peer pressure and the things that people see in the environment can influence someone to start smoking. For example, a teen may learn how to smoke at an early age because he or she sees his parents doing so. He or she may also be pressured by friends to grab at least a stick. Otherwise, the poor child will be ostracized or even bullied.

Get Electronic Cigarettes

Because of the risks involved in smoking, it is a good thing that you have a much better alternative. This is called electronic cigarettes. It offers the following benefits to both smokers and non-smokers; It greatly reduces the risks of lung cancer. With constant huffs and puffs from your cigarettes, you are endangering the condition of your lungs and shortening your life. With electronic cigarettes, you can greatly reduce the chances of getting lung cancer. As a matter of fact, there is a possibility that you will not. This device does not have high doses of nicotine, tar, and other carcinogens that will prove to be lethal to you over time.

You can save the lives of others. Do you know that second-hand smoking is more dangerous than first-hand smoking? It is because second-hand smokers are not used to inhaling and exhaling smoke. Worse, they may even develop lung cancer even if they are not the ones who smoke frequently. As mentioned, electronic cigarettes do not contain any tar. This means that when you smoke, what you are really inhaling is water vapor laden with nicotine. When you exhale it, it evaporates so quickly that not even the person next to you would get to inhale it.

You can improve your quality of life. Of course, you can. After all, you are not putting yourself on the line of getting cancer. You can expect a lot of more years ahead of you. Second, you can spend more time with your loved ones who do not smoke at all. You are assured that they do not suffer from the usual consequences of second-hand smoking. You will live a happier and healthier life.

You can smoke indoors. A lot of places are implementing smoking bans. This means that individuals are not allowed to smoke indoors or in any closed public areas, such as shopping malls, schools, and offices. You may even not be allowed to smoke in parks and other venues where there are a lot of children. With electronic cigarettes, though, you can now have a more legal method of getting a smoke while you are inside a vicinity. Most of the anti-smoking rules entail the use of a naked flame. These devices do not produce them at all. You can improve your performance. If you can add up all the times you wasted just to go out and smoke, you would realize that you could become a more efficient employee or businessperson. You can use it for other tasks related to your work. However, since electronic cigarettes give you the permission to just smoke even when you are on your desk, you can increase your productivity to as much as 7 percent.

It is a step to quitting. When you want to quit smoking, you have to do so in a slow process. Remember that your body is already used to its components. If you remove them all together, your body will definitely react negatively. Because you do not want to go through horrible withdrawal signs, you are forced to go back to your old ways. Since a lot of these substances are no longer found in electronic cigarettes, you can already start "cleansing" your body from these toxins. Nicotine, on the other hand, is on a low level. It will not be long before you also stop craving for the latter.

You can save money. You may have to spend quite a number of bucks for the device. However, once you have it, you can already consider not buying any cigarette packs at all. In a year, you can save thousands of pounds.

Well, google “smoking benefits” and there are a couple pages. Apparently smoking is associated with lowered risks of Parkinsons and Alzheimers and certain types of cancer. Nicotine can be therapeutic for schizophrenia. And of course, there are the immediate benefits of smoking, which are the reasons people do it: pleasure, mental stimulation / mood lift, weight loss / maintaining a lower weight.

I know this is controversial and people like to get out of their pram so I dint need a lecture on smoking being generally bad for health and that the risks far out weight the benefits etc…BUT I’ve heard there are some benefits from smoking…
I’ve heard it can ‘mask’ allergies. I also heard that someone who smoked all their life had a heart attack after giving up as smoking thins the blood it can clot after you give up.
    Is this true?

It keeps weight off for some people. Cigarettes can act as an appetite supressant causing you to eat less instead of always being hungry. Cigarettes also have a laxative effect and can make your digestive system more regular. Also it calms you down and relieves stress and makes you feel better when you’re sad. But at the same time, they are not good for you and do more bad than good in the long run. But not everyone who smokes will get cancer. Smoking is not a gauranteed cancer habit… It just puts you at a great risk. Even if you don’t get cancer from it, you will still most likely get wrinkles, bad skin, yellow teeth, or you will cough alot and be stuck with a permanent cold which is very annoying. On the other hand, my whole family on my dad and mom’s side are heavy smokers and have not had one trace of lung cancer in our family. Not one. They also still look 10 years younger than what they really are, so that throws the “smoking will cause cancer 100%” theory out the window. But… Do you REALLY want to gamble with your life over cigarettes? Something to think about…
